Precipitate is delighted to be working on the Burhans Home, an efficient home on a hill overlooking expansive southern views! The property is near the city of Viroqua, Wisconsin. The home is to be 1,000-1,200 SF with open space ideal for entertaining and hosting guests. The Burhans home will be flexible to accommodate guests and a variety of hobbies; e.g. yoga, reading, electronics, musical instruments, virtual reality. It will beautifully integrate the indoors and outdoors, blending in and responding to the natural surroundings. A basement for additional living space and a storm shelter will be included. Additional areas outside of the passive envelope for sitting, eating, and yoga-like activities will also prioritize efficiency.

Homeowners intend to create a custom floor plan that responds to the unique site and prairie bluff setting and is informed by energy modeling and high-performance passive house principles. The project goal is to break ground in 2022.
