Precipitate joined an experienced project team to conduct LEED consulting, daylighting analysis, and early phase energy modeling for a new project! The New Ulm Field Maintenance Shop is a facility in New Ulm, Minnesota will support the maintenance of vehicles and equipment for the Minnesota Army National Guard. This facility is a consolidation of two current facilities into one: Rochester FMS #2 and New Ulm FMS #6. Our efforts aim to help the facility achieve LEED Silver certification.

In addition to coordinating the LEED submittal process, we conducted an Integrative Process charrette to discuss opportunities for energy and water savings with the entire project team, including the client and determined new strategies to explore through further modeling. We also performed early-phase energy modeling and assisted in the exploration of cost-effective options for upgrades that would enable the project to achieve a 30% EUI reduction from baseline. Our daylight modeling and documentation assisted the project in achieving daylight points for LEED certification.
