FOCUS ARTS ROOFTOP FARM
Minneapolis, MN 2020
Sustainability Consulting
Precipitate worked with an incredibly engaged and visionary project team to enhance and coordinate sustainability elements of the rooftop farm, including rainwater storage and reuse and recovering heat from a glass blowing studio within the building to use to heat the rooftop greenhouse. Precipitate's work was funded in part by a Planning Grant from the Mississippi River Watershed Management Organization and helped secure funding for a $250,000 capital grant from the McKnight Foundation.
The greater Focus Arts Building is a 22,000 SF commercial building redeveloped by Seward Redesign to accommodate a diverse mix of arts-focused uses in support of community-identified needs as part of the larger Seward Commons Redevelopment.
